Photub – Photography resource directory

With my growing interest in photography (I think this happens every time you buy a new camera…), I started looking for resources to improve my photography skills. I found Photub one day and felt it was a nice way to keep updated and to see what others are doing. Then today I read some articles on BetterPhoto and learnt about exposure and night shots and thought it’s a good time to get a better tripod!

I am enjoying it!

  1. A few interesting newsbytes:

And ’bout the camera – its a bitchin’ buy. Seriously. It was atop my list for the longest, till I saw the next version (which, if a true comparison is to be made, isn’t really that much of a functional improvement over the latter). Anyway, I would recommend just picking up the manual and practising. The “My Colors” feature and the “Color Swap” feature make for very interesting results, and I would also recommend some thought to the telephoto and the wide-range converters that you could get off LensMate.

You know where my photogallery is. Check out my recent “attempts” at getting better! 😉

A tripod’s critical to great photography, but I’d recommend three types. The “really small” “table” variety, the “fold-in legs” variety, and finally, the “pro” kind – the one with the folding legs, the rubber locks and the spirit level. The spirit level gets to be quite important as you work with portraits et al.
