What Is Konfabulator?
Konfabulator is a JavaScript runtime engine for Windows and Mac OS X that lets you run little files called Widgets that can do pretty much whatever you want them to. Widgets can be alarm clocks, calculators, can tell you your WiFi signal strength, will fetch the latest stock quotes for your preferred symbols, and even give your current local weather.
I really liked the way they have depicted their history using comic strip style. It reminded me of the way we did Magnet’s history in the 5th Anniversary Journal. Our drawings were amateur, but they have done a really nice job on their history. The drawings and the story line both are well executed.
Konfabulator was bought over by Yahoo! a while ago. You can check out all the widgets from Widget Gallery. The widgets available cover a broad variety of tasks. Pretty much like the Mac OSX widgets, but these work on Windows too.
Apart from that, I also liked their site designs. Overall, I am impressed! Bravo Konfabulator!
