Ashok is conducting a leadership workshop in Magnet these days. Each group has to select a leader for their team name. Thinking about it, Swami Vivekananda’s name came to my mind. As I was researching about him, my respect for him grew each sentence that I read.
He was a genius and travelled as a monk spreading his learnings – he awakened the nation, and went to the West for help too. He was a strong believer in physical and mental fitness. He meditated for the past, present and future of India and caused enormous amount of progress for the country.
There is an excellent biography on FreeIndia. Even the official site has a good collection of his writings, photographs and biography. WikiPedia too has a superb write up on Vivekananda and other related items.
