Coming soon: an interesting post on India’s largest ecommerce site

Middle of this week, I will be posting an interesting note on IRCTC - India’s largest ecommerce site. If you have used IRCTC, you will find it worth reading. If you have not used it, you might want to try it out after reading the post.

In any case, I would like to hear your opinions on IRCTC! Go ahead, comment on this post.

83 Beautiful Wordpress Themes

Kartik sent me a link to these 83 Beautiful Wordpress Themes. I have not seen such a great collection of WP themes so far. And this list fulfills my long standing wish to just see a list of best themes and select one for me. I have taken on the Fresh Compact theme for now! It’s quite fresh and lively. It breaks the Gallery integration, and related posts / most popular posts bits. I will get to that shortly, but I think it’s looking good.

If you are using WP, make sure you check this out!

Web 2.0 in 5 minutes

Alright, so Web 2.0 has been overused now, and you know about what it is. But there is a cool YouTube video that communicates it really well. Found it here, and like him, could not resist posting it up here.

Hacked!

Somebody played a little hacking trick on me the other day. He used some Wordpress SQL injection vulnerability and changed the title of the blog!

I am hacked!

It was interesting to see this. I actually liked his efforts. Cleaning up the thing was not difficult and thankfully we did not have any left overs! WP is now upgraded to 2.1. That should make things better for now!

myFeedz - personalized feed reading

myFeedz Logo

Got to know of myFeedz today. It’s not a simple RSS reader application, or not a technorati clone. It understands and learns the kind of things you like to read, and presents them to you. You can specify the tags you are interested in and it will collect posts based on that. You can also let it know if it found something that was “off-topic” and does not interest you. It will try to avoid such items in the future. The look and feel of the site too is pleasing. And on top of this, it offers an RSS export facility, so you can set up the tags you are interested in, subscribe to the RSS feed and read all that in your favorite RSS reader.

Looks good. And if it does well on that “learning what you like” part, it can be a killer app!
