Design a new font – font basics
We need to show non printing characters / formatting marks in a Flex Text Area for a project. Spaces, Line breaks, tabs etc. I haven’t found a solution to that yet, but I found a nice article explaining basics of creating your own fonts on TypeWorkshop. It’s decorated with hand drawn images and will teach you fundamentals of font design quickly! Recommended Read!
XPlanner PHP SOAP Client
I am working on a project management system and want to build a Mylyn plugin such that all tasks from the PMS show up in Eclipse / Aptana. I want to adapt Extreme Programming model of Iterations – User Stories and Tasks. XPlanner does this really well, and Mylyn already has an XPlanner connector.
So I want to keep the same XPlanner API and hook that up with my PMS! (Don’t have time / skills to build a new Mylyn connector yet!)
XPlanner has a SOAP client in PHP, but that’s written in NuSOAP. PHP’s SOAP support uses a different convention for web services. Here’s a simple XPlanner SOAP client for PHP (right after the jump!)

How Chinese Multiply
Ever wondered how Chinese multiply so quickly? Ravi sent me this video a while ago and I did not see it thinking it may have objectionable content! When I saw it, I was amazed!
Could you ever think of this? It’s a great maths trick. I don’t know how it would multiply 10 x 10, or for that matter any number which is a 10 multiple. Do you have an idea?
