Bill Gates after he retires

What would Bill Gates do after he retires? Here’s a superb movie that answers that!

Dual Display setup

Was talking to a client about an application that would project a different screen on the projector, while allowing the manager to manage what goes on the projector via another screen. And thought, I should get myself a dual display setup myself!

So got a spare LCD and have hooked up my MacBook with the LCD. The dual monitor setup was done in 3 minutes, including bringing the LCD from another room ;-)

This was the fastest new thing I have setup I guess. Now I need to think how best to use the setup! As of now, just put Thunderbird on the second screen while I use Firefox and other apps on the primary laptop display.

A little geeky on a Monday morning :-)

And if you are wondering how to setup dual monitors, check out LifeHacker and BigBruin.

Building a binary clock

LED Binary Clock from ThinkGeek

ThinkGeek has a binary clock, showing time in binary format using LEDs. (Kartik really likes them btw!) I was looking around, and found a nice article on how you can build your own binary clock! It sounds like a cool one day hack. Not sure if I will ever do it, but just putting it down here for reference!
