The Orienteal Eye Test

with 6 comments

Ok, I am flicking this straight from Kapil’s blog. But I loved it!

Observe this image and try to decipher what’s written.

The Oriental Eye Test

Can’t? Now try pulling the corner of your eyes to make them look like those of a Chinese person. NOW YOU CAN SEE!

What’s the idea? Do Chinese see the world differently ;-) ?

  3. While the image is interesting, the comment about Chinese peoples’ eyes and seeing the world differently is completely inappropriate.

  5. Aamod, I’d recommend reading a book called “Chariots of the Gods”. While there are some reports of its author having “enhanced” some of the ‘facts’ he used in the book to make his point, even the conjectures and hypotheses in the book would probably make you question the “potential alien ancestry” of your own race.

Its an interesting read if one reads it without a cultural / ethnic bias, because it makes one see age-old, deeply-ingrained religious / theological visualizations in a new light. Once again, there were some reports and theories about its author having made up some of the data in the book, so perhaps its best read as a work of “semi-fiction”. Nonetheless, it makes you think.

If you do get around to reading it, you’ll see how it relates to your previous comment about “alien ancestry” and the irony of your statement.

Nirav, since its 2007 and everyone’s a convenient patriot, I’d recommend cloaking it in something like “Asian” / “Mongoloid”.

And now lets all hit YouTube to watch a Canadian bash both races!
