Life is a manifestation of projection in the physical and other parallel universes. The projections eventually disappear when the living beings die but the ZPEMs continue in the Hyperspace as well as in other parallel universes through other projections.
If that did not make you laugh, you got to read the full article on India Daily. And if your head is spinning after reading that, you are not alone! Sujeet is already trying to keep a straight face after reading this and the other “technology” articles on that site!

Attrition and Shortage of IT talent is something that I am concerned about right now. We have seen four times more people leave in last month, than our average. This may be also because the size has grown, and the ratio to total number of developers would come to the same. But it yet makes an impact, and one that concerns me!
That’s because I am seeing some patterns. Everytime we took a major step in the expansion / growth of the company, we have faced higher attrition in the next three months. And we have also seen a chain reaction - when one leaves, a few others leave soon after. Having a strong community feeling in the workspace has this side effect! As I learnt reading Gopal’s observations about programmers and their jobs.
Hiring superstar programmers has been a problem for OSDN too. So no wonder it’s a problem for us! And then there is a huge shortage of IT workers - even for India! Nasscom says “The country will need 350,000 engineers a year, but no more than 150,000 of the most highly skilled engineers will be available each year.”
That’s both a threat and an opportunity.
And I am still wondering if this is something that has no end! As of now, that’s how it seems!

Janak - a colleague - sent a puzzle today. I just tried it out and it was fun! It’s not really a hacker puzzle, but it does give a little bit of refreshment! Try it out when you have some time!

Something that I am thinking about, after my last ILP class.
Statistics are important. They provide measurement to the results. I typically treat numbers as “something there, needed, but not something that I work from”. Money and numbers are secondary for me. This definitely makes me approach things from a different perspective. But I am seeing that if I treat stats as a measurement to track my progress (and not my failures), I will have a more powerful context!
This is really simple! But something that just hit me!

I was testing my wifi connection once and did the ego search to see if I was getting the proper network settings. And I was surprised to find out that some site knew a lot about me! Without my knowing!
They spidered me! Collected information on my name from various sources and pulled it together.
I was impressed when I saw the page. It had information about Magnet, and what a few other people wrote about me. The technology is pretty cool. They would extract information from the web, and see if the same name had references on other sites. Linking these pieces together they would create a person’s profile. Mine was quite accurate - just a bit dated. So I claimed the page and updated some information. And then I said, let me try out a few other names! And I got almost all the matches!
Now that was surprising. I was thinking of having a solution to find people just by their name from quite some time. And ZoomInfo has done that. There are many other people finding sites, I have not tried many, but I liked this one!
