Battery powered vehicles

I was in Pune the other day and saw a few battery powered motor bikes. Ace Motors was the company selling them, and it looked like a good deal.

Charge it for 6 hours, and it will run 70 kilometers.
It can take upto 160 kilos of weight.
Does not need number plate / license / RTO approvals.
No maintenance - almost.
And they are eco-friendly!

My sister told me earlier that there are many Yo-Bikes in Ahmedabad. And that it’s a good alternative to a bike if your needs are limited. These bikes don’t run that fast and have their limitations, but are excellent for students and people who do not travel often.
Reva - the electric car is doing well too. I saw many electric cars in Germany a few years ago, and have spotted a couple here as well. Reva introduced a new model today, and by the looks of it, it feels good!

You should be able to call up some friend in Pune and figure out their contact details, if nothing else works.

actually i am from china. i don’t have any friends in pune. i have searched on google for the information but got nothing helpful. it happened that i found your information here. so i think you should be the only one who can help.

do you have any friend in pune or is there any other way to get the information? even just a telephone number might help me a lot.

I too am contemplating to buy one in Bangalore one is available which runs at max of 40km/hr charging of 4-6 hrs, 3Rs per charge and runs for 40Kms per charge, it is cosmic by name.

Battery lasts for 12,000/- kms and costs around 7000/- for replacement.

Please let meknow any other feed back on these bikes
